Harry Hudd Architectural Landscapes

Over 30 years of experience!! We couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire Harry Hudd Architectural Landscapes! From our very first meeting, Harry took the time to walk us through every aspect of the project. He thoroughly explained our options, what we needed, and just as importantly, what we didn’t need. We appreciated his honesty and never felt pressured. Our property had been left in shambles after a complete home renovation and addition. Harry transformed every inch of it from the front yard to the backyard, into something we’re truly proud of. One thing that really stood out was Harry’s help with the landscape design. We had no idea what kinds of trees, shrubs, or plants we wanted, so he took us to the nursery and walked through everything with us. He discussed what we liked and didn’t like, explained the differences between annuals and perennials, talked about what would work best for our property, and ultimately came back with an incredible selection of plants that fit our landscape perfectly. What really sets Harry apart is his attention to detail and hands on approach. He’s on site working alongside his crew every day, so you’re never left with an unsupervised team wondering who’s in charge. His workmanship and eye for detail are second to none, and he genuinely wants everything to be done perfectly. Harry was always responsive, easy to reach by phone, and happy to answer questions. Throughout the project, he also shared great ideas to enhance our landscaping and recommended trusted companies for our shed, garden, and sprinkler system, making the entire process seamless. Even after the project was finished, Harry followed up to make sure our plants and newly installed sod were doing well and to see if we needed anything. That level of customer service is rare these days. If you’re looking for someone who is honest, knowledgeable, hardworking, and genuinely takes pride in his work, we highly recommend Harry Hudd Architectural Landscapes. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again!

Harry and his team did an absolutely fantastic job on our patio, back steps and surrounding beds. The stone work, lighting and plantings look amazing, and just as important - the drainage underneath and along the patio is now much improved. This is the second time we have used Harry, and we’d absolutely call him again for our next project.

Harry Hudd replaced a retaining wall that was knocked down during a severe storm last July! (photos). He was knowledgeable and professional with all aspects of the job from beginning to end. Worked closely with my engineer throughout the Town permit process. Always quick to answer my “many” text questions. Local contractor you won’t regret using!

When we faced a complicated water drainage issue with our outdoor patio that had seriously warped and degraded over time, Harry Hudd Architectural Landscapes came highly recommended. Harry developed a sound solution by designing and installing a French drainage system that effectively diverted water away from the patio. The project was complex and required a landscape architect who truly understands what they’re doing. Harry not only rebuilt the patio with exceptional skill, but he also reused the original materials. The quality of his workmanship was meticulous, and the difference from before to after was remarkable. The drainage system and patio have continued to look flawless after several years of rough seasonal wear and tear. Because of this outstanding work, we later asked Harry to take on additional projects, including rebuilding a sagging retaining wall, and refurbishing our front path and front stoop. For these jobs, Harry didn’t just build — he also came up with a landscaping design and landscaped the entire area with additional lighting and accents. Similarly, the job was remarkably well done. What really sets Harry apart is that he doesn’t just create a design and hand it off others. Harry is personally involved in the construction alongside his team, ensuring that every detail meets his high standards. Harry’s expertise, his hands-on approach, and his creative vision have transformed our outdoor property. We couldn’t be happier with the results, and we would highly recommend Harry Hudd Architectural Landscapes to anyone who looking for a landscape architect who combines expertise, creativity, and precision.

We have used Harry for 3 different projects at our house. First to add drainage throughout our backyard that was constantly wet. We now no longer have major water issues in our yard and the puddling is no more. We added a pump on the exterior of our basement to prevent water from coming in the house. That year they also regraded, added dirt and reseeded the entire lawn to help the water move away from our house. The second was the building of a patio with stone walls and all of the landscaping at the front and around the house. This project was exceptional! The patio is beautiful and the plantings are perfect for our property. They came back this year to add some additional plantings around the yard. Harry is so responsive. He checks back in on projects. He makes great suggestions and also recommends the right people to help with other aspects his team doesn’t do. He is a true professional and we will be using him for many years to come!
