Planting
Choose light or partial shade and fertile, moist, well-drained soil. In warmer climates, protect the foliage and flowers from strong sun and provide consistent summer watering.
Care
Prune lightly after flowering because blooms form on the previous season's stems. Remove weak or winter-damaged stems in early spring.
Before planting: Leaves can develop powdery mildew, and hot sun may scorch or fade the foliage and flowers.
