Planting
Choose full sun and sandy or rocky soil with excellent drainage. A raised bed or container is useful where garden soil stays heavy and wet.
Care
Remove spent flowers after the first display to encourage another flush later in the season. Established plants tolerate drought, but keep the root zone out of winter wet.
Before planting: Often struggles in high humidity or wet, heavy winter soil.
