Planting
Choose fertile, moisture-retentive soil and partial shade in warmer climates. Protect it from strong afternoon sun, and allow enough room at the back of a border for its mature clump.
Care
Keep the soil from drying out. Cut back after flowering for bushier growth, and divide in early spring when required, keeping a growth bud on each section.
Before planting: It can take two or three growing seasons to reach its full size.
