Planting
Use moist, organic soil in sun or shade, sheltered from cold drying winds. Its broad leaves work well as ground cover along a shaded border.
Care
Remove damaged leaves in late winter or early spring and cut away spent flower stems. Water during prolonged dry weather to stop the leaves drying out.
Before planting: Foliage can suffer winter damage in colder climates.
