Planting
Give it full sun for the best flowering and average, well-drained soil. Place it where its broad mature clump can remain, since the deep taproot makes transplanting difficult.
Care
Trim after flowering if you want a neater shape or do not want seed pods. Leave the pods in place if their later-season structure is part of the planting.
Before planting: All parts are toxic if swallowed in quantity; consider access by children and pets when choosing a site.
