Planting
Choose partial or full shade and well-drained soil, including rocky ground. It can also grow in sun and moist soil where drainage remains good.
Care
Established plants need little watering. Detached leaves can root into new plants; handle the foliage gently because leaves break away easily.
Before planting: Avoid waterlogged ground. Sap may irritate skin, and swallowing large amounts of leaves can cause stomach upset.
