Planting
Choose full sun and loose, well-drained soil that is neutral to slightly alkaline. A raised bed or stone-wall setting suits its need to avoid wet winter roots.
Care
Remove faded flowers for possible repeat bloom. Water during prolonged drought even though the plant tolerates short dry spells; avoid overwatering, which can lead to crown rot.
Before planting: Leaves may irritate skin and cause illness if eaten; take care around children and pets.
