Planting
Use sun or partial shade in moisture-retentive soil with plenty of organic matter. It suits rain gardens and pond or stream margins where water is consistently available.
Care
Keep the root zone moist through dry spells, as drying soil can scorch the leaves. Allow room for its rhizomes to form a wider colony.
Before planting: Plant parts are toxic if swallowed, and handling can cause skin irritation.
