Planting
Plant in sun or partial shade in average to moist, well-drained soil with an acidic to neutral pH. This species prefers more moisture than some other blazing stars.
Care
Taller flower stems sometimes need staking. When tidying dead stems, leave 30–60 cm standing to provide nesting places for bees.
