Planting
Choose full sun and dry, well-drained soil, including rocky ground. In hotter southern climates, some afternoon shade may suit it better; leave room for the clump's outward spread.
Care
Cut back faded flowering stems to encourage another display. Divide clumps in spring when you want to renew or extend the planting; avoid treating it as a moisture-loving mint.
Before planting: High humidity can affect performance.
