Planting
Choose partial or full shade and moist soil rich in organic matter. It does best with some sunlight and fits the front of a shaded border.
Care
Maintain moisture around the shallow rhizomes and let the colony fill its space gradually. Growth is slow, so allow time for a new planting to spread.
Before planting: The berries are poisonous if swallowed.
