Planting
Choose partial or full shade and moist, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Its small size suits rock gardens, woodland edges and shaded pots.
Care
Remove dead or damaged fronds when needed. Divide the rhizomes to make more plants, allowing for the fern's slow growth.
Before planting: Overwatering and poor drainage can cause crown rot, particularly in winter.
