Planting
Choose partial or full shade and fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Its arching shape suits woodland planting and shaded containers, with space for a broad clump.
Care
Cut old fronds down in late winter or early spring before the new growth unfurls. Keep winter drainage clear around the crown.
Before planting: Too much sun can yellow the fronds; poor winter drainage can cause crown rot.
