Planting
Choose full sun and well-drained soil. It suits slopes, border groups and rock gardens, where its drought tolerance is useful once plants are established.
Care
Cut back hard in late winter or spring to prevent leggy growth and stems splitting apart. Expect a relatively short-lived shrub.
Before planting: Poor drainage can lead to root and crown rot.
