Planting
Plant in sun or partial shade with well-drained soil. Allow it to form a modest patch; very fertile, moist ground can make the stems sprawl.
Care
Remove faded flowers for more bloom, or shear lanky growth in midsummer to encourage a later display. Divide clumps in spring when their spreading edges need managing.
Before planting: Poorly drained soil can cause crown rot; drought tolerance is limited compared with some other coreopsis species.
