Planting
Choose sun or partial shade and well-drained soil, ideally a rich sandy loam. Use it in small groups, a short hedge or a shrub border.
Care
Prune in spring, since flowers develop on new growth. Established plants tolerate drought; foliage remains evergreen mainly in the warmer part of its growing range.
Before planting: Wilt and root rot can be significant problems in hot, humid climates.
