Planting
Choose sun or light shade and moist to dry loamy soil. Clay is suitable when it drains well; plant in small groups in borders or naturalised areas.
Care
It needs little routine care in suitable soil. Check drainage in heavier beds, since its tolerance of clay depends on water being able to escape.
