Planting
Choose full sun and dry to moderately moist, well-drained soil. It tolerates poor ground and clay, with enough room to spread in meadow or informal planting.
Care
Remove spent flower clusters to extend flowering. Divide clumps about every two years to manage their size and keep them within the intended area.
Before planting: It can take over a small space; leaf rust is an occasional problem.
